8 Months old!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't written a blog in awhile--I've been so busy learning how to crawl. And now that I can get places on my own, there is no end to the things I can put in my mouth! Mom is pretty good at noticing when I get a little too quiet, which means I have found some tiny piece of fuzz or dirt or paper or a remote or an electrical cord to eat. To celebrate my 8-month birthday, mom and dad took me to the park, and we actually played on the equipment!! I'm still figuring out the slide thing, but I LOVE the swings! I also learned how to crawl into my exersaucer, and enjoy doing that about 2-3 times a day :) Enjoy the pictures!

Photo Challenge--Numbers

This week's challenge had us looking for the numbers 1 through 7. I must admit that I almost didn't do this challenge because of business/laziness/lack of inspiration. But finally, yesterday (Friday) I decided to go for a walk and bring my camera along just in case I found my inspiration. Well, it took awhile, but just as I had given up hope, I spotted three benches perched on top of a hill and thought that was a pretty obvious group. Then I started seeing EVERYTHING in groups! By the end of my walk through the park, I had all 7 photos :)
I also challenged myself to use black and white, since I don't do that very much. Any B&W photography tips would be much appreciated!

A Bug's Life

This is the biggest bumble bee I have ever seen! It was like a small bird!!


I couldn't find too many real bugs this week...

Baby exercises

Ruthie is getting closer to crawling every day. She does lots of baby push-ups and gets up on her hands and knees pretty easily. Here's a little clip of her working hard. This was after quite a bit of 'exercising' so she is kind of tired. Sorry again about the poor quality of our videos...

7 Months Old, New Stroller, First Picnic

Wow, lots has happened since my last blog entry! I turned 7 months old on Thursday. I don't know exactly how much I weigh, or how tall I am now, but I'm still chub-tacular!
I also got some new wheels on Wednesday--an awesome new stroller where I can actually see what's going on! No more being cooped up in my car seat all the time. It's very stylish too--brown and lime green; I bet Aunt Becky is jealous :) Mom likes that it is lightweight and folds up nicely. And it takes the bumps much better than my old stroller. We went for a walk by the lake with James on Saturday:
I spent even more time outside today at The Point of Grace end of the school-year picnic. I got my first taste of grass, drank out of a grown-up water bottle, and made lots of friends:

I am also getting really good at moving around on the floor (not crawling yet). I like to get into everything that I'm not supposed to, and eat anything I can get my mouth on. Today I tasted table leg for the first time:

Signs of Spring!
